DJI has announced a reduction in its prices with immediate effect, across a number of the matrice products and cameras to benefit commercial end users.
The price updates mean that drone operators can now access the Matrice 200, Matrice 210, Matrice 210 RTK and Zenmuse Z30, part of its DJI Enterprise range, at rates significantly cheaper than previously quoted.
New DJI Matrice Prices
Prices for the Matrice 210 have been reduced in the UK from £9,999 to £7,539 which is a reduction of 25%. The biggest price drop is on the Zenmuse Z30 zoom camera from £7,999 to £2710, a massive reduction.
The powerful DJI Matrice 200. Combines a robust, weatherproof quadcopter frame with an intelligent data capture platform for Drone Photography.
But with the only option of a single downward gimbal, this UAV has not been taken up by commercial operators delivering outdoor industrial work, because in most industrial applications more than a single data output is required.
The DJI Matrice 210 has been well received in the commercial drone market since it’s release, providing a robust enterprise solution but at a steep price.
Situated as the middle model in the Matrice Series, the M210 has proved the most popular model, benefiting from a dual gimbal which enables the operator to capture two data sources at the same time.
This is particularly useful in industries such as search & rescue or solar panel inspection where a user may require simultaneous HD imaging and thermal imaging.
With the inbuilt option of an upward gimbal, the DJI M210 has revolutionised the way data is captured in a number of scenarios including bridge inspection and wind turbine inspections.
The DJI M210 is suitable for the following applications:
Bridge Inspection, Building and Inspection, Wind Turbine Inspection,Offshore Rig Inspections, fire, search and rescue.
The DJI M210 also benefits from the wider DJI range of intelligent flight modes.
Intelligent Flight Features
The DJI Matrice 210 harnesses computer vision via multiple DJI sensors, allowing your drone to collect data more efficiently to aid intelligent flight modes.
Spotlight – Lock onto a selected subject during flight while the aircraft continues to move freely.
Point of Interest – The Point of Interest feature lets you orbit smoothly around an object or structure, ensuring your flight time is as focused as possible. A useful method for mapping a building, piece of infrastructure or other environmental feature.
Tripod – When you’re navigating confined spaces, there’s no margin for error. Tripod allows you to fine-tune the positioning and angle of your Matrice 210, ensuring it’s exactly where it needs to be.
ActiveTrack – Follow a person or object and keep them in the frame. This valuable tracking method allows for complex, creative tracking shots.
Dual Battery System
The DJI Matrice 210 features a dual battery system to increase flight time and redundancy for Drone Aerial photography. Supported batteries include the DJI TB50 and DJI TB55.
The DJI Matrice 210 has a folding body which is easy to carry and set up and comes complete with a bespoke travel case to make transportation of the UAV and all its parts smooth and simple. Unlike many other industrial UAV’s, the M210 can be set up in minutes by only a single operator.
The next few months will reveal if the reduction in price of the airframe and in particular the Z30 zoom camera does spark more sales for commercial operators doing drone building inspections, aerial inspections, drone building surveys, Uav building surveys, industrial drone surveys, and drone surveys.
