This prestigious development cost over £5.5million to build, but was born out of a devistating event. The original leisure club and spa was burnt to the ground and completely destroyed by fire on the evening of 13 October 2014.
The hotel temporary solution was to house the gym in a large portable building for over 18 months while the new building was built, but the customers did not have a pool to swim in. One of the main feature of the old building was the spectacular pool area and in the new leisure club building, this pool is larger and has been improved further. The ancillary areas containing the sauna, steam room are the height of luxury.
The magnificent grounds of Kenwick Park of over 200 acres offer a full choice of activities that you would find in a major resort venue. The site is very popular for weddings with dates booked years in advance.
The Spa attracts both day customers and overnight stays. The same with golf, the hotel has a growing golf break business with reserved tee times for hotel guests. This coupled with award winning food is a very tasty place to stay for a week holiday break or for just a short midweek or weekend getaway.
The Lincolnshire Wolds are a beautiful tourist area which is growing in popularity, especially with people who live in main conurbations of the East Midlands, Leicester, Nottingham, Derby and as far south as Northampton. The easy road dual carriageway access to Lincoln from the East Midlands which has been opening in the last 10 years has seen log cabins sales at Kenwick Park increase rapidly to people living in the East Midland conurbation.
